Primary Responsibilities

• Project customer requirements into BOM, drawings, specifications, DFMEA etc.
• Design and develop steering column products that adhere to industry best practices and as per customer requirements.
• Design the steering column product keeping manufacturing and cost competitiveness balance.
• Review & release the Child parts, Sub-Assembly & Saleable assembly design Collaborate with the Quality, Manufacturing, and Procurement teams to ensure that designs meet requirements.
• Mitigate the potential risks via design upgrade through cross functional team including customer, internal team members and suppliers.
• Lead problem solving / root cause analysis.
• Develop and maintain DFMEA (Design Failure Mode and Effect Analysis) for all released products.
