Job Description
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain relationships with Japanese companies and Japanese governmental agencies in APAC.
- Conduct marketing, origination and execution of project finance transactions in APAC.
- Liaise and co‑work with relevant departments and SMBC group members to obtain internal approvals including credit, ESG and reputational risk perspectives.
- Strategic planning for business development of the structured finance area in APAC.
- Support ad‑hoc work for senior staff at the same department.
- Share knowledge with team members and motivate others to maximize the team outcome.
- At least 3 years of banking sector experience.
- Fluent in spoken and written Japanese is desirable as this role requires discussion with Japanese government agencies/clients, making presentations in Japanese, and coordination with SMBC's head office in Japan.
