**GENERAL OVERVIEW:**

The Associate Chief Nursing Officer (ACNO) role provides hospital specific leadership over nursing services to lead direct reports in delivering high quality care to patients while assisting in the development of Allegheny Health Network’s (AHN) strategic plan. This position reports directly into the hospital’s Chief Nursing Officer (CNO).

**ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:**

+ Acts as a clinical and operational role model by adhering to nursing standards, quality of service, professional conduct and applying consistent application of all policies and procedures (10%)
+ Provides leadership, in collaboration with the hospital CNO, in providing leadership of all employees within reporting scope that engages them in active participation in ownership of goals resulting in decisions that impact clinical and operational decisions (10%)
