The role will be part of the Foreign desk leadership team at The Straits Times shaping its regional and international coverage. You will work closely with a team of Singapore-based editors and a network of almost 30 correspondents in bureaus across Asia‑Pacific, Europe and America to make sense of fast‑moving developments in areas from global trade to domestic politics, and to tell those stories with a distinctive voice and in different forms for our readers in the region.

• Guide foreign correspondents in identifying and producing original stories that offer an accurate picture of how the people in diverse countries live, work and play, as well as the mega‑trends sweeping through the region
