Job Description
The Department of Psychology at the University of Virginia invites applications for an Assistant Professor of Psychology, General Faculty, beginning August 2026. We are seeking applicants with a license in Clinical Psychology. This is a three-year, tenure-ineligible appointment with the possibility but not the guarantee of renewal.
Responsibilities will include teaching three courses _or their equivalent_ per semester, including classes in **Abnormal Psychology and related undergraduate offerings.** The applicant should also be prepared to provide graduate clinical training and supervision, and take on leadership roles in the psychology departmentβs Mary Ainsworth in-house training clinic (these clinical training and leadership roles may be used to fulfill equivalent teaching requirements, as appropriate).
