The successful candidate will be expected to be an effective undergraduate and graduate teacher, develop a productive research program, contribute to department and college initiatives and leadership (especially the Philosophy Dialogues), and to be committed to teaching lower-level philosophy courses as part of a core curriculum. Members of the department have secured funding through NSF , NEH , AAAS , Rethinking Priorities, and Humanities Texas in recent years.
