Job Description
**PRIMARY FUNCTION(S):**
To assume diagnostic patient care responsibilities in the Department of Hematopathology in the Division of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine by serving as a diagnostic hematopathologist. The candidate will also develop a research program.
**ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:**
Patient Care
β’ Must be a self-motivated, highly energetic, committed, and conscientious professional who communicates (verbal and written) and relates well to others at the professional, technical, and administrative levels.
β’ Must be able to visually review, evaluate and correctly interpret medical records, patient data, patient specimens and other test results based on previous training, experience and knowledge.
β’ Must be able to visually identify specimen make-up, contents and/or components viewed through a microscope and integrate this information into diagnostic and biologically relevant information.
β’ Must be able to visually read staging reactions on slides, and be familiar...
