Assistant Healthcare Scientist – Cellular Pathology

East Kent Hospitals University NHS Foundation Trust is looking for three full‑time, permanent Assistant Healthcare Scientists (37.5 hours per week, Band 2) to support the Cellular Pathology service at William Harvey Hospital (WHH) in Ashford.

The closing date is 18 June 2026. We cannot offer visa sponsorship for this role. If you hold a Graduate/Post‑Study work visa, you will be able to work only on a fixed term basis until the expiry date of your visa.

Key responsibilities

• Work in both the histology and cytology sections of the cellular pathology department at WHH.
• Support Biomedical Scientists in the preparation and examination of biological samples.
• Assist with mortuary services as required and support a satellite lab within dermatology at Kent and Canterbury Hospital (once a week) for Mohs facial surgery.
