ASSISTANT HEAD OF YEAR

This is a non‑teaching role.

To commence 1 September 2026.

Knole Academy in Sevenoaks is looking for an enthusiastic professional to support our Head of Years.

Salary will be paid according to experience on AAT scale Grade E £29,167 - £30,934 FTE (equates to £26,192 - £27,779 per annum).

37 hours per week: Monday - Thursday 8:00am to 4:30pm, Friday 8:00am to 4:00pm, 38 weeks term time plus two weeks.

The role involves supporting the Head of Years with administration for pastoral and behavioural issues and monitoring student attendance.

Excellent communication and organisational skills are required to liaise with Heads of Year, SENCo, parents and other staff, and confidence to manage student behaviour. The postholder must have an affinity with dogs as the well‑being dogs are based in this office.
