Job Purpose

The Department of Economic Development and Tourism, Western Cape Government seeks a qualified and competent individual to coordinate, review and implement financial accounting systems and procedures in line with relevant legislation, regulatory frameworks and departmental policies.

Minimum Requirements

• An appropriate 3‑year B‑Degree in Financial Management at NQF level 7 (equivalent or higher).
• A minimum of 3 years of relevant supervisory experience.

Key Performance Areas

• Collection and recording of revenue: cashier, banking service and electronic payments.
• Debt management.
• Monitoring and reporting on revenue.
• Expenditure management: compensation of employees, goods and services, transfers and subsidies.
• Reporting.
• Supervise employees to ensure an effective financial accounting service.
