The Arthur B. McDonald Canadian Astroparticle Physics Research Institute (McDonald Institute) is Canada’s hub for astroparticle physics discovery.

Based at Queen’s University and named for Nobel Laureate Dr. Arthur B. McDonald, the Institute unites researchers, students, and technical teams from leading universities and research facilities across the country. Through deep partnerships with SNOLAB, TRIUMF, the Perimeter Institute, and international collaborators, the McDonald Institute strengthens Canada’s global leadership in fundamental physics and trains the next generation of scientific explorers.
