Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair electrical equipment used by the Army.
• Fix power generation, reticulation, and refrigeration systems.
• Complete safety inspections for all operational Army electrical equipment.
• Provide electrical safety education and technical guidance to the command chain on camp.
• Provide maintenance support to units during field exercises.
• Provide logistics and maintenance support to units in deployed operations.
• Maintain operational security and assist with humanitarian relief operations.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years old by the time you graduate from recruit course.
• Must be medically and physically fit for military duties worldwide.

Training & Career Path

• Four‑year apprenticeship to NZQA Level 4 Certificate in Electrical Engineering Theory and Practice (Trade).
