Course Overview

ESL 140: Academic Bridging in English. The course emphasizes a broad range of extended authentic written and oral passages, with a focus on critical listening and reading. In speaking and writing, importance is placed on fluent and accurate oral production in various situations such as interviews and speeches, organization and synthesis of information from different sources, and expansion of formal writing skills to include research reports and expository essays in various organizational patterns.
