Auckland Council is looking for an Animal and Customer Care Officer to join our newly established team delivering desexing services for dogs in high-risk areas, with additional support provided to Auckland’s four main animal shelters.

Based at the Henderson Animal Shelter, this role starts and finishes each day in Manukau, where you will pick up and drop off dogs before heading to the clinic.

In this role, you will provide essential administrative support to the veterinary team, coordinate desexing appointments, maintain accurate records, and liaise with dog owners. If you’re organised, passionate about animal welfare, and have strong communication skills, this is the perfect opportunity to make a meaningful impact on Auckland’s animal care services.

This is a permanent full‑time working 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
