About the Role

The purpose of this position is to provide safe operational anaesthetic and ancillary equipment to Anaesthetists in the operating theatre. You will provide direct clinical assistance to Anaesthetists and Intensivists, maintaining a high standard of patient care. You are part of an integrated operating theatre team committed to ensuring efficient functioning of the operating theatre.

This is a part‑time position working 36 hours per week on a rostered basis.

About Team/Service/Location

The Theatre Department in Kaitaia Hospital provides elective surgery and endoscopy procedures predominantly to people of the Far North and Northland. The department comprises two theatres with eight-day surgery beds and three recovery beds. The Endoscopy Unit has one endoscopy procedure theatre and a four‑bed endoscopy day‑stay unit. Patients are referred by GPs and specialist consultants throughout the Northland District.
