This is an exciting opportunity to join the Alcohol Care Team (ACT) at the OUH Trust. We are seeking to recruit a dynamic, proactive, and organised individual who has an interest in addiction and a passion for improving patient care. This role has been developed to support the continuation of a pilot project that will focus on delivering care to patients within the Emergency Department (ED).

The Alcohol Care Team is a hospital-based service that covers all four OUH sites (John Radcliffe, Churchill, Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre, and the Horton hospital). The team was created to improve the identification and treatment of patients that are drinking at harmful or hazardous levels. The team has a focus on the improvement of alcohol withdrawal treatment and the facilitation of referrals to primary care and the delivery of staff education. Flexible working will be required as this post will support both the John Radcliffe ED and the Horton ED.
