About the Role

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Alcohol and Other Drug (AOD) Clinician to join our General Adult Community Mental Health & Addictions service in Kaikohe. This 0.6FTE fixed term role is part of the Reducing Demand for Methamphetamine (RDM) programme, supporting the implementation of Screening, Brief Intervention and Referral to Treatment (SBIRT). The role is focused on early intervention supporting people and whānau experiencing mild to moderate AOD concerns through screening, brief intervention, warm handover, navigation and follow‑up across community, primary care, outreach and hospital‑linked settings. You will work closely with Te Ara Oranga, iwi providers, peer support services, primary care, NGOs and wider Mental Health and Addictions services to improve access, equity and continuity of care across the Far North.
