Job Description
Key Responsibilities AIX Administrator (Level 2)
Administer and support AIX 7.1/7.2 on IBM Power systems, including system configuration, filesystem management, user administration, and OS hardening.
Own L2 incident management, performing advanced troubleshooting for OS, filesystem, boot, SAN related, and application impacting issues; conduct root cause analysis and resolution.
Execute AIX patching and maintenance using NIM, including TL/SP updates, OS upgrades, pre checks, execution, and post implementation validation.
Administer VIOS environments, including vSCSI/NPIV configuration, SEA networking, backups (mksysb), recovery, upgrades, and connectivity troubleshooting.
Manage and support PowerHA (HACMP) clusters, including health checks, failover/fallback activities, DR drills, and cluster issue resolution.
Perform change management activities, including preparation and execution of standard and emergency changes, risk assessment, rollback planning, and rel...
