Job Description
Performs duties of an Aircraft Weapon Technician under the guidance of an Aircraft Weapon Gun Crew Leader. Performs a variety of tasks associated with aircraft weapons and related munitions testing. Transports, emplaces, operates, and recovers a variety of aircraft mounted and ground fired weapon systems. Uses an M1A1 gunner quadrant to align mobile, ground-launched rocket launchers – both NATO and foreign varieties. Following applicable TMs and SOPs, prepares ammunition for firing, loads, and downloads weapon systems such as Hydra 2.75-inch rockets, guided missiles, 20mm and 30mm guns on attack and scout helicopters, and small arms up to .50 caliber.
