Job Description
The **Aircraft Engine Mechanic/FEDS Operator** , with the use of current technical instructions repairs or replaces worn, defective, or damaged aircraft engine parts. They also test engine components and systems to ensure they are functioning correctly and use testing equipment to diagnose and identify engine problems. In addition, an aviation engine mechanic is responsible for disassembling and inspecting engine parts like turbine blades and cylinders, for wear, warping, cracks, and leaks. This mechanic assists in the preparation and installation of aircraft engines and the removal of engine systems and components. The engine mechanic may also be required to operate and evaluate engine systems with the use of an engine run cell.
**Minimum Requirements:**
