Title: Admissions & Records Clerk
POSITION SUMMARY
Creates and maintains admissions records for new applicants and returning students at Nashville State Community College.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform job duties from the assigned campus or work location. Shares primary responsibility for accepting applications, processing applications, maintaining student records, making referrals and answering questions related to admissions and records requirements, including standards for programs with special admissions requirements. Processes applications, transcripts and other admissions documents, ensuring data entry into all systems is accurate. Serves as studentsβ point of contact for inquiries regarding their admissions files and the status of their applications and files. Maintains all physical and electronic student files prior to their transfer and release to the Records Office.
