Job Description
Duties Description The Administrative Specialist 2 will manage the Administrative, Personnel and Fiscal offices in DEC Region 5. Duties include:
β’ Supervise administrative staff in the Regional Director, Personnel, and Fiscal offices.
β’ Oversee all Regional Administration activities in Region 5 to ensure the effective and efficient delivery of the work across eight counties, three offices, and seven maintenance centers.
β’ Manage the Regional Administration budget and control all spending under the designated chartfields.
β’ Direct all aspects of permanent and seasonal hiring including position requests, spending plan updates, postings, canvassing, interviewing, preparing hiring packages, and conducting orientations for new staff.
β’ Answer questions on employee benefits such as health insurance, payroll, leave, etc.
β’ Manage the Fiscal office.
