Job Description
The Additive Manufacturing Product Design Engineer is responsible for translating customer requirements into manufacturable, high-performance product solutions for aerospace, medical, automotive, and industrial applications. This role focuses on the design of components balancing features, finishes, form, and function against manufacturability and cost. The position will partner closely with engineering, manufacturing, fulfilment, and quality teams to translate product requirements into compelling, manufacturable designs. Unlike a traditional mechanical design role, this position emphasizes translating customer requirements into manufacturable, high-performance solutions by leveraging SDM’s capabilities in additive manufacturing, post-processing, rapid prototyping, and cross-functional product development.
