Role Overview : The position will drive policy advocacy, industry engagement, and programme execution for the drone and unmanned aerial systems (UAS) sector. The role requires strong understanding of India’s evolving drone ecosystem, regulatory frameworks, and emerging applications across sectors.
1. Policy Advocacy & Government Engagement
Track, analyse, and interpret drone-related policies, regulations, and reforms (e.g., civil aviation, defence, data, and privacy frameworks).
Engage with key government bodies such as Ministry of Civil Aviation, DGCA, NITI Aayog, Meit Y, Mo D etc.
Draft policy papers, consultation responses, and recommendations to promote industry growth.
Represent FICCI in government meetings, working groups, and stakeholder consultations.
Track emerging technologies such as AI-enabled drones, BVLOS operations, and drone traffic management.
Publish thought leadership content to position FICCI as a key voice in the drone ecosystem.
