**Job Description**

The General Accounting Manager is a part of the Finance organization and is responsible for executing the period close process for the organization within established timelines, driving process improvements and implementing changes across the Accounting organization.

**Responsibilities**

• Manage and develop staff
• Review journal entries requiring strong accounting and analytical skills to ensure financial reporting complies with US GAAP and company policies
• Oversee the completeness and accuracy of sales transactions in the general ledger
• Manage intercompany accounting including appropriate settlements
• Manage the consolidation of AutoZone’s international entities by coordinating with global finance teams to ensure complete and accurate financial reporting
