We are looking for an Access Officer to join our busy North Pennines National Landscape team.

This vacancy is offered on a fixed-term contract until 31 March 2029 (with the possibility of extension, subject to funding/business need).

What is involved?

You will enjoy working outdoors in the North Pennines National Landscape and UNESCO Global Geopark, one of the most spectacular landscapes in the country.

You should be a professional team worker with a ‘can-do’ attitude and be a great communicator. You should also be familiar with and accomplished at practical management of access to the countryside including public rights of way structures and surfaces, national and long-distance trail management, habitat management, and working with volunteers.

The role will include significant periods working outdoors, sometimes alone in inclement weather at sites accessed only on foot, so being able to meet the physical demands of the post is necessary.
