Position Details

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education.

  • Valid Michigan Teaching Certificate with an endorsement covering 3rd Grade (Lower Elementary PK–3 / Code ZO, Upper Elementary 3–6 / Code ZP, or older K–5 All Subjects / Code ZG). 

  • Strong understanding of middle-childhood development, 3rd-grade foundational math concepts, and evidence-based literacy strategies aligned with Michigan’s Read by Grade 3 law.

  • Excellent classroom management and communication skills, with experience utilizing PBIS or restorative practices .

  • Ability to design engaging, developmentally appropriate learning experiences tied to the Michigan Academic Standards and prepare students for the M-STEP assessment. 

  • Commitment to fostering a positive, inclusive learning environment through a Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) framework.
