The Oncology Registered Nurse evaluates, plans, implements and documents nursing care for the oncology patient population. The Oncology Registered Nurse works in hospitals and outpatient care centers where patients receive cancer treatments. In hospital settings, the Oncology Registered Nurse assists with surgery prep, patient education and coordination of their cancer treatments. In outpatient care center settings, the Oncology Registered Nurse typically helps with treatments such as chemotherapy and infusions while monitoring patients’ vitals, side effects, and pain.

**Requirements:**

+ Graduate of accredited school of nursing
+ MN RN license or MN Temp Permit-RN
+ BLS Certification, PEARS or PALS Certification, Chemotherapy & Biotherapy Provider and CPHON certification
+ 2 years nursing experience working with pediatric Hematology/Oncology patient population.
