The University Coach (Supervisor) is a faculty member of the Literacy, Early, Bilingual, and Special Education Department (LEBSE) who oversees Teacher Credential Candidates in the PK‑3 Early Childhood Education (ECE) Specialist Instruction Credential Program. The coach serves as a liaison between the university, cooperating schools, Mentor Teachers, and the Program Coordinator, communicating needs and providing professional support throughout the semester.
Responsibilities
Meet with Mentor Teachers for orientation (first two weeks or after student teaching) to discuss roles and co‑teaching expectations.
Conduct regular school site visits to meet with Teacher Candidates, Mentor Teachers, and administrators, holding informal discussions and maintaining communication via phone, webinar, or online community.<...
