**During your shift as a 1st Class Mechanic, you will**
+ Recognize and practice safe work habits in all daily duties.
+ Install, rearrange, align, dismantle, repair, and reassemble complex equipment; diagnose complex equipment failures.
+ Perform mechanic‑skill work including fabrication, assembly, welding, burning, cutting, and pipefitting using oxyacetylene, plasma arc, shielded arc, tungsten arc, flux‑cored, carbon arc cutting and gouging, and submerged arc methods.
