Job Description
1:1 SEND Teaching Assistant
Rotherwood Education are currently recruiting for dedicated and enthusiastic Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant staff to support a year 6 pupil with additional needs in a well-established and supportive Primary school in the Nelson area.
The role is full time, 5 days per week, and due to start in September 2026 and is are ongoing for 12 months.
Position Details:
Job Title: 1:1 SEND Teaching Assistant
Location: Nelson, Lancashire
Start Date: September 2026 - 12 months FTC
Contract Type: Full-time, 5 days per week
Daily Rate: £80-95 per day (dependant on experience)
About the Role:
* Provide 1:1 support for a Year 6 pupil with SEND
* Support learning activities under the general supervision and direction of the teacher.
* Monitor pupil progress and provide feedback to the class teacher and establish supportive and constructive relationships with pupils, parents and carers.
